DSL is on the island but is not yet available to our beach house.

Feel free to go to the following places for Internet service:

The Library (shown below) in Petty's past Deadman's Cay
Museum is in the front, park in the back and go in the back north side door.
$5. per hour/ $2.50 per 1/2 hour. Open M-F 11 to 6pm, Sat. 9-1, Closed Sunday
Photocopies 8 1/2 x 11 = .25 cents, 8 1/2 x 14 = .30 cents, 50 cents for a computer print out.


Bonafide Fishing Tackle Shop & Café $10 per hour / $5 for 15 minutes. Store Hours: Mon - Sat, 9am - 7pm

BTC Service Center Open M-F 8am to 4:30

Telephone Services in Long Island Bahamas:
Some US cell phones work on Long Island, others do not.
Our guests claim that Verizon does not work.
Sprint and MCI cellular telephones mostly work on Long Island.

If you have the capabilities to insert a Simm Card into your telephone,
you can get one at BTC (in Simms or Deadman's Cay) to use while you are on the island.
Simm Cards come in 25, 50 or 100 minute increments.
My suggestion is to first check your telephone to see if it works, if not,
stop at BTC on the way back to the villa - it will save you a 20 mile trip.

We do not have a telephone at the villa.
You can also purchase a cell phone at BTC for $100.

If you rent our car and we pick you up at the airport, you can ask the driver if they know where to rent a cell phone.
Although not guaranteed, they may know where to rent one from.
